Tutoring Experience: I, Malabika Thakur, have been privileged to learn 'sangeet' from three accomplished gurus: First, the basics of Hindustani Classical Music from Dr. (Mrs.) Rama Sharma Second, Rabindra Sangeet from Mrs. Aakhi Banerjee, trained under Padma Bhushan Begum Parveen Sultana; and Third, Ghazals from Padmashree Mrs. Shanti Hiranand, disciple of Late Begum Akhtar. I would be happy to share my knowledge, and train willing learners in Hindustani Vocal Music-light classical, nazrul-geeti, aadhunik Bangla, popular Ghazals & bhajans, and old Hindi film (Bollywood) songs.
Tutoring Approach: I take both, private and group classes at my home in South Delhi. Students of age groups 6 – 75 years are welcome, although I believe that music doesn’t understand any age-limit! First interaction with student would be a Free Trial Class.
