Tutoring Experience: I have taught for over a decade at various undergraduate and postgraduate colleges for courses such as BMS, BCA, BH. Sc., MCA and MMS in institutes like NES Ratnam College, Dr. BMN College of Home Science, SNDT Women's University, Ghalot Institute of Management Studies and Research, Indira Institute of Business Management, Father C. Rodgerigues Institute of Management, and Terna College of Engineering. I specialize in Communication Skills, and was also conducting classes for Spoken English and Personality Development. I have published two books, one based on the ideology of motherhood in Indian culture, and a book of short stories for children.
Tutoring Approach: Communication is one of the most integral functions in any organization, and regardless of an individual's specialization or choice of career, the ability to communicate effectively is an essential requisite. However, as a teacher, I have often found students lacking in this area, and have also observed an inhibition in speaking as students do not feel confident about their ability to express themselves in English language. I believe in going down to the basics of the rules of grammar to help students to communicate better. Practice makes perfect, and I follow the principle in my teaching methodology by giving students as many examples as they require until they have understood a particular concept, and are able to apply it correctly. I also believe in motivating students to perform better, and instilling in them the confidence they need to face a situation which requires them to communicate effortlessly.
